Review: Kiddo LOVES to go to the zoo, so she was quite eager to check out this book. She loves reading 'stories' on my computer (can I get some cred for her calling ebooks 'stories' and paper books 'books'? Ya gotta love it when a child still wants the feel of a 'real book in her hands! ), so she was happy it was about a boy and his mother going to the zoo (or as she called it, one of 'our trips').

Kiddo loved the rhyming and that there was a short description of what each animal does. She loves the nature shows, so she had to add more info to each animal's story, as we 'turned' the pages! It was cute! One of her favorite rhymes was:

Giraffes with necks,
Long and tall.
I bet from up there,
I look really small.

The illustrations were adorable (Kiddo really loved the 'happy giraffe', as she called her) and I loved that the text was easy to read. Kiddo recognized her sight words, and I know this is a book she will be able to read on her own this year, making it additionally attractive! Kiddo and I both hope there will be more Out and About books, as they would be great baby shower/birthday presents, as your child can grow with them!
